The Ford Mustang

This is the iconic Ford Mustang, a 5.7 litres of V8 American Muscle.

1968 Ford Mustang GT Fastback.

Originally this Mustang came from factory in Acapulco Blue. It's a 1968 J-code 302GT Fastback, from the factory it was fitted with many of the optional extras for example; Power disc brakes, a tacho, 4 speed manual top loader transmission, a 9 inch rear axle and a deluxe interior.

History

Bought on 9th January 1968 in Kalispell Mount of the USA for $3739.44. The first owner had  the car for around 25 years then selling it to a local guy. It was then repainted red. In 1987 the original 302 was changed for a 289 from a 1965 Ford Galaxie and repainted back to the original blue. The car remained in the area until 2005 before it moved to California. From there the car moved to The Netherlands and then to Balkey Co Dublin in the Republic of Ireland.

In September 2007 the car moved from Cork to Surrey. In September 2008 she went through a year long ground up restoration/customisation to the condition and spec she is in today.
